chatzopoulos1Senior analyst in the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS). His research focuses on Scandinavian and Baltic foreign policy, international security, nationalist studies, sport policy. He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of La Verne, California (USA) and a MA in Sport, Politics and Society from the University of Warwick (UK).

Mr. Chatzopoulos worked as research associate at the Hellenic Center of Research on Sports Law in 2005. During the period 2007-2009, he was coordinator on Baltic Politics in the Center for Russia, Eurasia and Southeastern Europe at the Institute of International Relations in Panteion University, Athens, Greece. From 2009 until 2010 he was editor in chief of the sociological review 'Nea Kinoniologia" (New Sociology). In 2013, he became editor in chief for the monthly political review "Nea Politiki."

He is a member of the Danish European Community Studies Association (ECSA-DK) and the Association for the Study of Ethnicity and Nationalism (ASEN) in the London School of Economics (LSE).
