Two crew members, a Briton and a Romanian were killed when an Israeli-managed petroleum product tanker came under drone attack on July 29, 2021, off the coast of Oman. The same day a hostile attempt by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen to attack a Saudi commercial vessel in the Red Sea with a drone has been thwarted.
