Moody’s in collaboration with the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS) organized a “Decoding Hybrid Warfare with Data,” a senior level seminar taking place in Athens on 16 April 2026 at the Hotel Grande Bretagne, Athens, Greece. John M Nomikos, RIEAS Director, participated in the Belgrade Security and Intelligence Forum (27-29 March 2026, Serbia) and delivered a speech on “Security Situation in the South East Mediterranean”. Participants were from the Balkan, Scandinavian, Central Europe, Middle East and African states.
RIEAS Director, John M Nomikos attended an Advance Intelligence Program organized by the Bandaranaike Academy for Leadership and Public Policy (21st April 2025 to 22nd July 2025) and he received an Advanced Certificate in Intelligence Studies and Public Policy on 21st November 2025 in Sri Lanka.
We are pleased to welcome readers to Volume 8, Issue 2, of the Journal of European and American Intelligence Studies (JEAIS). This issue brings together a diverse and methodologically rich set of contributions that collectively interrogate some of the most enduring and contested problems in intelligence studies: analytic rigor and judgment under uncertainty, the communication of probability and confidence, the structural conditions shaping contemporary information environments, and the strategic implications of information operations for democratic governance. Across empirical, conceptual, and critical traditions, the articles in this volume reflect the field’s continued maturation and its willingness to engage both the internal mechanics of intelligence work and the broader ecosystems in which intelligence operates.
