Dr. Andrew Liaropoulos participated in the 8th International Conference in Information Warfare and Security that will take place at Regis University, Denver, Colorado, USA, 25-26 March 2013 and presented a paper titled ‘Exercising state sovereignty in cyberspace: An international cyber-order under construction?

Dr. John M. Nomikos (RIEAS Director) delivered a paper on “The role of Open sources intelligence (OSINT) Networks in the Mediterranean Think Tanks: A tool for Geopolitical Analysis”organized by the Laboratory of Geocultural Analyses of the Broader Middle East and Turkey of the Faculty of Turkish Studies and Modern Asian Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the European Institute of Geopolitics on 10-12 December 2012, Athens, Greece.

 

Dr. John M. George Protopapas (RIEAS Media Analyst) delivered a paper titled “Media and Terrorism: The Case of Greece” in the fifth International Regional Conference Counter Terrorism Challenges in the Region of South of South Eastern Europe, on 27-29 November 2012, in Maribor, Slovenia. 
John M. Nomikos, RIEAS Diretor, delivered a paper on “Does Greece Need an Intelligence Academy” in the XVIII Annual Intelligence Conference by the "Mihai Viteazul" National Intelligence Academy on 19 October 2012 in Bucharest, Romania.
Dr. John M. Nomikos, (RIEAS Director) delivered a lecture on “Reforms on the Greek Intelligence Service: Is it enough for its professionalization?” in the Overseas Security Advisory Council Seminar (OSAC) on 25 July 2012 in the U.S. Embassy in Athens, Greece.
Aya Burweila (RIEAS Senior Analyst) delivered a speech on “Security in the Black Sea: Threats and Actors” in the 5th International Black Sea Symposium titled - The Black Sea regions as an influential crossroad between East and West: A path towards extroversion organized by International Center for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS)  on 2-4 July 2013, Athens, Greece.
RIEAS participated in the 4th Executive Securit Seminar on “New Geo-Economy and Geo-Politics in Mediterranean Sea and Middle East”, in the Royal Olympic hotel, on 1-2 June 2012, Athens, Greece.

RIEAS participated in a workshop titled: “Charting Troubled Waters: Policy Analysis for Uncertain Times” organized by the Hellenic American Union in collaboration with the Delft University of Technology  (The Netherlands) on 30 May 2012, Athens, Greece.

True to its original full title, the 12TH Doha Forum offers a sweeping overview of issues regarding Democracy, Development and Free Trade in the Middle-East, the Arab countries and the world. More broadly, this international meeting discusses critical political, economic, social, financial, strategic and human matters of pressing concern for a region witnessing some of the most substantial changes in its very long history.
