One year and a half after the publication of the paper entitled "Evolution of Transatlantic Terrorism & the Case of Europe", on June 29th, 2014, a Jihadist militant group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), also known as ISIL and Daesh proclaimed the establishment of a Caliphate and demanded the recognition of its statehood.
