Submission of Manuscripts.
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word (doc or docx) to the Editor in Chief, Dr. John M Nomikos, Research Institute for European and American Studies, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been published simultaneously for publication elsewhere. As an author, you are required to secure permission if you want to reproduce any figure, table, or extract from the text of another source. All accepted manuscripts, artwork, and photographs become the property of the Publisher. Manuscripts must be maximum 8.000 words and Abstracts must be around 400 words. All manuscripts including title page, abstracts, tables, and legends, should be typewritten, one and half spaced (1 & 1/5). All margins should be at least one inch and all pages should be numbered consecutively throughout the manuscript. Titles must be as brief and clear as possible. All references should be numbered consecutively at the end of the paper (Endnotes). In the text, references should be cited by a superior character of the corresponding number. For further information, consult The Chicago Manual of Style, 14th edition. All articles undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
Affiliation.
On the title page, include full names of authors, academic/or other professional affiliations, and the complete mailing address of the author to whom proofs and correspondence should be sent.
Tables and Figures.
Tables and figures should not be embedded in the text, but should be included as separate files. A short descriptive title should appear above each table with a clear legend and any footnotes suitably identified below. All units must be included. Figures should be completely labeled, taking into account necessary size reduction. Captions should be typed, one and half spaced, on a separate sheet.
Proofs.
All proofs must be corrected and returned to the Editor. If the proofs are not returned within the allotted time, the Editor will proofread the article and it will be printed per editor’s instructions. Only correction of typographical errors is permitted. When the journal is published, authors will receive two copies of the Journal of European and American Intelligence Studies (JEAIS).

Prof Joseph Fitsanakis
Professor Joseph Fitsanakis, Ph.D., has written extensively on intelligence collection (SIGINT and HUMINT), information security, cyber espionage and sub-state political violence. He is the co-editor (with Dr. John Nomikos) of Intelligence Beyond the Anglosphere: Mediterranean and Balkan Regions (2017), and author of Redesigning Wiretapping: The Digitization of Communications Interception (2020), among other books. Dr. Fitsanakis has published research on intelligence agencies in the United States, Greece, China, Sudan, and North Korea. His writings have been translated into several languages and referenced by media outlets such as The Washington Post, NPR, BBC, ABC and Newsweek. Before joining Coastal Carolina University, Dr. Fitsanakis built the Security and Intelligence Studies program at King University, where he also directed the King Institute for Security and Intelligence Studies. Since coming to Coastal in 2015, he has received the University-wide Distinguished Professor of the Year Award (2018), the Edward College John B. Durrell Award (2017), and the Department of Politics Professor of the Year Apple Award (2016, 2017, 2020). Dr. Fitsanakis is also deputy director of the European Intelligence Academy and senior editor at intelNews.org, an ACI-indexed scholarly blog that is cataloged through the United States Library of Congress.
Professor Christian Kaunert
Professor Christian Kaunert, Ph.D., is the Director of Terrorism and Security and the Leader of the Cognate Research Group on Policing and Security at the International Centre for Policing and Security at the University of South Wales and hold the current Jean Monnet Chair in Policing and Counterterrorism in Europe.
Previously, he served as an Academic Director and Professor at the Institute for European Studies, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, a Professor of International Politics, Head of Discipline in Politics, and the Director of the European Institute for Security and Justice, a Jean Monnet Centre for Excellence, at the University of Dundee.
Professor Kaunert has researched and taught in many international universities. His research has a clear focus on Policing and International Security, especially in the area of European Union (EU) Counterterrorism, including its external dimension.
His experience as supervisor is directly reflected by the organization of numerous PhD Summer Schools, twelve international conferences, a member of fourteen conference panels, participation in ninety- two conferences as a guest speaker, supervision of about eighty Master theses, supervisor of twelve completed PhD theses and several ongoing PhD theses.
