The disaster that struck Greece in 2010, and continues to pulverize Greek society, has not left the national defense forces untouched. Recognized by commanding majorities in all public opinion surveys as the Nation’s last bastion, the Greek armed forces have been put through the grinder by the governments of the last three years with the same brutality that has pauperized millions of Greek citizens.
